Pagerless for Remix and React Router

Export `handleError` from the server entry. Shopify apps built on the Remix or React Router template work the same way.

Set up

npm i pagerless
app/entry.server.tsx (Remix)
export { handleError } from "pagerless/remix";
app/entry.server.tsx (React Router)
export { handleError } from "pagerless/react-router";

What it catches

  • Errors in loaders, actions and rendering.
  • Skips aborted requests and thrown 4xx responses.
  • Reports 5xx and crashes only, never 4xx, and leaves the response, logs and error exactly as they were.
  • On Node it also starts the SDK: uncaught errors and unhandled rejections, status and latency per route, failing outbound calls (Stripe, OpenAI, Supabase and others named), a heartbeat every 60 seconds and a deploy marker.

Questions

Does connect recognise Shopify apps?

Yes. When it finds @shopify/shopify-app-* it labels the service a Shopify app and makes the same change.
