How do I get a phone call from an AWS CloudWatch alarm?

CloudWatch alarms publish to SNS, which can't call you by itself. Subscribe the SNS topic to an on-call service. With Pagerless, add the HTTPS subscription with ?wake= and your alarm-name pattern: matching alarms push, then call you after 5 minutes, and the alarm's OK state closes the problem.
