How do I get alerted when my app stops responding entirely?
Use heartbeats: the app sends a small signal every minute, and an alert fires when they stop. Pagerless SDKs send one every 60 seconds automatically, and 5 minutes without one is a floor: it always wakes someone, with a push and then a phone call.
