# Terraform on AWS

> If your AWS lives in Terraform, connect reads it and writes one file, pagerless.tf, for you to apply.

URL: https://pagerless.dev/integrations/terraform-aws
Updated: 2026-10-22

## What it reads

- `aws_sns_topic` and `aws_cloudwatch_metric_alarm` (counting `count` and `for_each`)
- `aws_scheduler_schedule` and `aws_cloudwatch_event_rule` with a `schedule_expression`
- `aws_ecs_task_definition` and `aws_ecs_service`
- `aws_lambda_function`, including Python runtimes

## What it writes

- An `aws_sns_topic_subscription` per topic, pointed at Pagerless.
- A `data "aws_ssm_parameter"` for `/pagerless/<app>/key`, the ECS container secret, and an IAM policy allowing `ssm:GetParameters` on it.
- A check-in line for each scheduled job.

```bash
npx pagerless connect
terraform apply
```
