# Pagerless for NestJS

> One line after NestFactory.create, or register the exception filter yourself.

Updated: 2026-10-22

## Set up

```bash
npm i pagerless
```

```ts
import { usePagerless } from "pagerless/nestjs";
const app = await NestFactory.create(AppModule);
usePagerless(app);
```

Or as a provider: `{ provide: APP_FILTER, useClass: PagerlessExceptionFilter }`. Needs `@nestjs/core` 9 or newer.

## What it catches

- 5xx and unknown errors, then handed to Nest's own exception filter.
- Outside HTTP (GraphQL), errors are reported and re-thrown.
- Reports 5xx and crashes only, never 4xx, and leaves the response, logs and error exactly as they were.
- On Node it also starts the SDK: uncaught errors and unhandled rejections, status and latency per route, failing outbound calls (Stripe, OpenAI, Supabase and others named), a heartbeat every 60 seconds and a deploy marker.

## Questions

### Does it replace my exception filters?

No. It reports, then hands off to Nest's BaseExceptionFilter as usual.
